Vogelzang Ceramic Baffle Board and Blanket. The baffle board and blanket are important parts of your unit.  They redirect flue gases inside the stove and increase the temperature of the reburn tubes.  When the tubes become "superheated," they will start to reburn excess smoke and flue gas, increasing your stoves efficiency.

The board also protects the top of the stove/insert from direct contact with the flame.  If the board is deteriorated or you notice large cracks forming it should be replaced.  You should not operate your stove without a functional baffle board and blanket in place!
