Quadra-Fire Snap Disc #2 Safety Switch For Castile & Sante Fe (L250-95): SRV7000-268
Snap Disc #2 (Fuel Delivery Interrupt) L250°-95, Auto Reset
Snap disc #2 is also located on the backside of the feed drop tube. There are 2 orange wires connected to it. This snap disc will turn off the feed system which will turn off the appliance if an overfire/ overheat condition should occur or if the convection blower should fail to move enough air through the heat exchanger to cool the stove and keep it from overheating. If an event occurs that activates this switch snap disc will cut the power to the feed motor when the switch senses a surface temperature of 250°F or more. As the stove cools itself down, the switch will return to a normally closed position at 155°F.
This part is also known as a thermodisc, bi-metal switch, or snap switch.
